A couple months into our violin program, our students started asking: "What's next?" We wanted to give dedicated students a way to advance their music education, so we started the Project Prelude Lesson Program.

The Project Prelude Lesson Program pairs elementary and middle school students with skilled musicians for no-cost private music lessons on their instrument of choice. Project Prelude teachers are high school, college, or professional musicians who have years of experience with their instruments. Teachers will work one-on-one with students to develop specific skills. Each lesson will be tailored to the student, allowing the student to progress rapidly in their musical ability.

The scheduling for these private lessons is flexible. Students will be matched to teachers with similar availabilities. Though the program is free for students, teachers receive a small stipend for their work.
