Evan Ko

Instructor

Evan Ko is a senior at Lakeridge High School. He began playing violin when he was seven years old and has studied with Vali Phillips and Carol Sindell. Evan is a former member of the Metropolitan Youth Symphony and MYSfits and has had the privilege to play with the Oregon Symphony. He is currently the concertmaster for his school orchestra and has twice been selected for the OMEA High School All-State Orchestra, where he was the assistant principal for second violins in 2023. Evan is deeply committed to serving his community. Outside of music, Evan is a math tutor and serves as a mentor for his local middle school's robotics teams. He has also organized and volunteered at events for children in his community and at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.
