New York Metropolitan Region

Abigail Ho

TBA Division Associate Director

Abigail Ho is a 14-year-old violinist and freshman attending Syosset High School in Syosset, New York. Her musical journey began when she was four and has thrived under many virtuosic mentors.  Currently, she studies under the instruction of Roslyn Huang, whom she has learnt from since 2019.

Just as well, Abigail has participated in the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra of New York (MYO) beginning 2019 to the present, in which she has presided as a concertmaster of every division she has performed with thus far. Accompanying the aforementioned, she has also recently served as concertmaster in the NMEA’s All-County Festival 2023 and the Long Island Camerata.

In addition, she has been and is striving even more so to further her involvement in this field. Her other merits include first place in the Manhattan International Music Competition, finalist, along with her four peers, of the Lincoln Center Young Ensembles Competition, and recipient of a multitude of consistently full scores in the annual New York State School Music Association Festival. In the past, venues in which these achievements allowed her the privilege of performing included Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and others, both as a soloist or member of a chamber or orchestral ensemble.

An avid member in her local and state music communities and spokesperson herself for accessible education, Abigail believes strongly in the efficacy of Project Prelude’s mission to teach, inspire, and transform through the power of music. She is delighted to serve as a division associate director.
