Ahana Naskar

Ahana Naskar, age 14, is a sophomore at Jesuit High School in Portland, Oregon. She started playing the violin at the age of 6 and currently studies with Hong Chou. Ahana joined the Metropolitan Youth Symphony in 2019 and is currently a member of the Symphony Orchestra. She is also completing her ASTA level 10 certification in spring of 2024. Ahana has taken part in the Oregon All-State Orchestra in 2022. As a soloist, she won 4th place in the 2023 International 18th Century Music Competition and is preparing for competitions later this year. 

Ahana wants to spread her love of music and has done so through performance benefit concerts, nursing homes, and schools. She joined Project Prelude in 2023 and is excited to be an instructor for the Elmonica Program. In her free time, she volunteers and raises funds for nonprofits and enjoys traveling, reading, hiking, and hanging out with friends.
