Andrew Lee

Raleigh Park Division Instructor & Vice President of Marketing and Communications Beginning 2024/25 Season


Andrew Lee is a 16-year-old sophomore at Sunset High School in Portland, Oregon. He has been playing the violin for ten years and currently studies with Carol Sindell. Andrew joined the Portland Youth Philharmonic in 2021 as Assistant Principal Second Violin and is currently a member of the first violin section. As a soloist, he was the third place winner of the 2023 Oregon State Solo Contest and the 2022/23 American String Teachers Association Competition, and was an alternate winner of the Music Teachers National Association Junior String Competition. He is a recipient of the Oregon Music Teachers Association Orchestral Instrumental and Maude Sardam Collaborative scholarships.

Andrew is a 2023 graduate of the National Symphony Orchestra Summer Music Institute at the Kennedy Center, where he was a student of NSO violinist Jennifer Kim. He served as associate concertmaster of the 2023 Oregon All-State Orchestra and was a member of the 2023 All-Northwest Orchestra. Andrew joined Project Prelude in 2022, and is excited to serve as an instructor for the Raleigh Park Division this year after previously serving as an instructor for the Elmonica Division.
