Esther Eom

Musical Director


Yeaune Esther Eom is currently a junior attending Mountainside High School. She has played the violin for the past nine years under the guidance of Carol Sindell. She is a member of the Symphony Orchestra with the Metropolitan Youth Symphony, and the chamber orchestra MYSfits. In 2021, she participated in competitive performances as a member of her school's top orchestra and won the WorldStrides Musical Competition Best Orchestra award. Since 2023, she has performed with MYSfits at many places including All Classical Radio. She received coaching from A Far Cry and has participated in joint performances with the group.

Esther is always looking for an opportunity to use music as a way to help the community, and has been a part of Project Prelude since September 2022. She has served as Musical Director from June 2024. Additionally, she serves as Co-Associate Director of the Portland, OR region of the Back to BACH Project, a program dedicated to promoting music education for children across the world.

She loves all fine arts, and as a president of the National Art Honor Society, she loves to give back to the community through both art and music. She is excited to serve as Musical Director of Project Prelude, and hopes that the students in the program will develop a lasting love for music.
