Jonathan Hu

Jonathan Hu, 17, is a senior at Westview High School. Currently studying with Carol Sindell, he has played the violin for twelve years. A member of the Portland Youth Philharmonic for four years, he was also concertmaster of the 2023 Oregon All-State High School Honors Orchestra. This year, he attended the Northwestern Summer Violin Institute, playing in masterclasses for Blair Milton, I-Hao Lee, and Paul Kantor. In his free time, Jonathan enjoys giving free violin lessons through his non-profit organization Youth to Youth Club as well as playing competitive tennis and following the NBA.
